This is an update on my 2021 project: a short backpacker’s manual made from things I’ve put together myself or that are free to use.
It is going pretty well so far with four pdfs “finished” or at least published and a few more underway. There are certainly quality issues with the four that I’ve published, as expected, and so I’ve created a new page on the website with mistakes and things that need improvement.
Below is the working draft of the table of contents, including the number of pages that I’m estimating for each pdf. The book is turning out to be shorter than I expected, which is good I guess – the shorter the better. I think it’s 115 pages right now, although that number will obviously change.
1. Alphabets – 3 pages
2. Conversions – 1 page
4. Games – 5 pages
5. First aid guide – 15 pages
6. History of the world – 15 pages
7. Maps – 6 pages
8. Nations of the world – 5 pages
9. Numbers and equations – 2 pages
10. Packing lists – 3 pages
11. Periodic table – 1 page
12. Personal information – 1 page
13. Phrasebook – 8 pages
14. Recipes – 10 pages
15. Religion – 10 pages
16. Survival guide – 30 pages
